Custom Fit
A seat cover is called a custom fit, when it is manufactured in such a way so as to fit the exact year, make and model of your particular car. A custom fit is always preferable because there cannot be a better fit than this one.

Friction
Friction is basically the rubbing together of two objects when one or both are in motion. This contact between the two objects releases energy in the form of heat, and this heat eventually results in surface deterioration.

Neoprene
Neoprene was originally designed as an oil-resistant alternative to natural rubber. But researchers soon discovered that Neoprene could be used in an almost limitless ways. It is the basic component in wet suits. It is also used in fan belts, gaskets, noise insulation pads, electrical insulation and also seat covers.

Pelt
Pelt is basically the animal skin with the hair, wool or fur still attached to it. It is used for seat covers as it does not shed, like lesser fur seat covers.

Pink Slip
The Pink Slip is the American slang for the title of the vehicle. It is recommended that you do not drive with your pink slip in the glove box, in case your car gets stolen.

Polyester
Polyester is a strong but lightweight synthetic fiber. It has long been in use for various applications for its water-resistance qualities.

Semi-Custom Fit
A semi-custom fit seat cover means that it will fit as well as about 80% of a full custom fit seat cover. Semi-custom seat covers should never be used on vehicles that have side impact airbags because they don’t provide access to these vital safety systems and obstruct them.

Universal Fit
As the name suggests, universal seat covers will fit over just any high-back or low-back bucket seat. UV / Ultra Violet
It is an electromagnetic wave of light that is invisible to the human eye, though is visible to many snakes, birds and insects. The sun emits large amounts of UV radiation, and it is mostly filtered out by our atmosphere. But what does get through, is harmful to our skin and to our upholstery. It dries out the natural oils in leather, and it bleaches color out of vinyl and cloth upholstery.
